  • Fish whole or fillet/steak 1Lb
  • Fish paste 125 mL (9 Tbsp)
  • Vegetable oil ½ Cup
  • Lemon juice 2 Tsp
  • Fresh curry leaves 2Tbsp.


  • Make cuts in the whole fish, mix all above required items except oil, pour over the fish & coat well.
  • Leave the fish to marinate for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  • Heat oil and fry shallow or deep until both sides turns brown or Grill or barbecue for about 10 minutes on each side of the fish.
  • Serve with Mint or Coriander Chutney & garden fresh salad.
